Department of Quran Sciences
Message:
The mission of Department of Quranic Sciences at College of Arts is to contribute to preserve Islamic and Sharia sciences related to Holy Qur’an and keep them in consideration, and to enhance its value in the hearts of its children and prepare qualified competencies in those areas including Arabic sciences because it is the heart of department’s curriculum.
Vision:
The Department of Quranic Sciences at College of Arts mission is to contribute to preserve Islamic and Sharia sciences related to Holy Qur’an and interest them, enhance its value in the hearts of its children and prepare qualified competencies in those areas including Arabic sciences because it is the heart of department’s curriculum.
Goals:
First / Undergraduate Studies:
1- Preparing a qualified and scientifically competent teacher in Quranic sciences field and Islamic education .
2- Empowering students with the skills that qualify them for outstanding creativity.
3- Directing outstanding literary student talents in the field of reading Noble Qur’an and other nearby talents.
4- Preparing graduate students with teaching skills in the light of modern means.
5- Providing graduates with the necessary skills that qualify them to compete in the labor market.
6-Training students on research skills according to a scientific approach through the graduation project they were commissioned to prepare.
Second / Postgraduate Studies:
1- Preparing professors and researchers by teaching them the sciences of Qur’an and Arabic together.
2- Enriching Iraqi universities with their need of Quranic majors campaign.
3- Enriching Arabic library with theses and researches in field of Qur’an and its sciences.

Admission Requirements for the Quranic Studies Department – College of Arts / Al-Iraqia University:
1️⃣ Morning Study:
Admission to the Quranic Studies Department at the College of Arts at Al-Iraqia University requires that the student’s preparatory study average in the literary branch is not less than 64% for morning studies.
The tuition fees for parallel government education (an additional 6 marks added to the general average) are 450,000 IQD (four hundred and fifty thousand Iraqi dinars).
2️⃣ Evening Study:
For evening studies, the College of Arts has announced that the admission average has been reduced to 58%, based on the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The tuition fees for evening studies are 600000 IQD (Six hundred thousand Iraqi dinars).
